Find and win new clients for Mayab Media
A contract role for a business developer who can open conversations with the right companies, run discovery calls and close new work with our specialists.
About the role
You will grow our client list. That means finding companies that need help with paid ads, tracking, SEO, marketing automation, websites, video or photography, starting real conversations with them and turning the good fits into clients.
We sell to growth-stage B2B, life-science and ecommerce companies and to local businesses, in Mexico and the USA. You will prospect, pitch and negotiate in English and Spanish.
What you will do
Prospect
Research and reach out to companies that fit our services, by email, LinkedIn, phone and events.
Discovery calls
Learn what each prospect needs and whether we are the right team for it.
Proposals
Work with our specialists to scope the work and present clear proposals.
Pipeline
Keep every lead and deal up to date in our CRM and follow up until each one is closed, won or lost.
What we are looking for
- Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken
- Proven experience selling B2B services, ideally marketing, agency or software
- Enough digital marketing knowledge to talk credibly about ads, SEO and tracking
- Disciplined with a CRM such as HubSpot
- Strong writing for outreach emails and proposals
- Self-directed and comfortable working as an independent contractor
Nice to have
- A network in B2B, life sciences, ecommerce or local business
- HubSpot Sales or similar certification
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Experience selling in both Mexico and the USA
