Commercial Photography by Mayab MediaPhotography

Stock photos make you look like everyone else

Look at ten service business websites and you'll see the same smiling woman with a headset, the same handshake, the same laptop on a white desk. Buyers have seen those photos a thousand times. When your site uses them, it quietly says you're interchangeable. That's the opposite of what marketing is supposed to do.

The usual fix is a one-off shoot, and it often misses too. You get pretty pictures of the building and a few posed team shots, but nothing that fits the homepage banner, nothing vertical for stories, nothing with room for ad copy, and nothing that shows the work actually being done. Six months later the marketing team is back to stock because the custom photos don't fit anything.

Good commercial photography solves a supply problem. Your website, ads, social, email, sales decks and print all need images, all the time, in different shapes. If the shoot isn't planned around that demand, you pay for photos and still come up short.

We shoot a library, not a handful of pretty pictures

We start by listing every place your images need to appear in the next year or so, then build a shot list that fills those slots. The goal is a library your team can pull from for months: hero images, process shots, detail shots, people at work, and clean backgrounds you can put text on. We shoot your actual team and space, so what customers see online matches what they get in person.

01

Placement-first shot list

Each shot is assigned to a job: homepage hero, service page header, paid social ad, email banner, proposal cover. That keeps the day focused on images you'll use.

02

Room for words

Ads and web banners need space for headlines and buttons. We compose a set of shots with deliberate negative space so designers aren't forced into awkward crops.

03

Work in progress, not just smiles

Buyers want to see how the job gets done. We capture hands, tools, process and detail, the shots that prove you're good at what you do.

04

Every crop covered

We frame for horizontal, square and vertical at the same setup, so one scene works on your website, in the feed and in stories.

FAQ

Questions we get a lot

What's the difference between commercial and lifestyle photography?

Lifestyle is one style inside commercial photography. Commercial covers any image made to market a business, which can include lifestyle scenes, process shots, environment photos, detail shots and ad creative. We mix those based on what your placements need.

Do we need models, or can we use our own team?

Most of the time your own team is the better choice, because customers will meet those people. We give simple direction so nobody feels awkward. If a scene really calls for customers or extras, we'll plan that with you ahead of time, including written permission to use their likeness.

How many photos will we get?

It depends on the shot list, not a fixed number. We'd rather deliver fewer images that each have a clear use than a huge folder of near-duplicates. You'll know the expected scope before the shoot day.

Can you also make the ads or the website?

Yes. We're a marketing agency, so the same team can design ad creative, build landing pages or run campaigns with the photos. That's also why we plan shoots around placements: we know what those formats need.
