Wedding photography in Mérida, Yucatán

Wedding Photos You'll Still Love in 30 Years

Wedding photography in Mérida and across Yucatán, from hacienda and church weddings to the beach in Progreso, Cancún and the Riviera Maya. We plan the day with you, run the family photos and catch the moments you'll only see later in the pictures. Our crew works in Spanish and English, so both sides of the family feel at home.

You get one take

Your wedding is the most photographed day of your life, and the only one you can't shoot again. The dress gets packed away. The flowers wilt. The venue resets for the next couple. A few years from now, the photos are most of what's left. Thirty years from now, they're how your kids see their grandparents dancing.

That's why choosing a photographer feels so stressful. Most couples worry about the same things: missing the moment you first see each other, a family photo list that turns into half an hour of shouting names, stiff poses that don't look like you, and a gallery that takes forever to arrive. A wedding in Yucatán adds its own problems: harsh midday sun, heat that wears everyone out by mid-afternoon, and rain that can roll in fast during the wet season.

None of that is bad luck. It's what happens when the photography isn't planned. So we plan it.

How we stack the odds in your favor

Great wedding photography comes down to four things. You get the photos you dream about. You know before the day that you'll get them. You don't wait long to see them. And the day asks as little of you as possible. Here's how we handle each one.

01

The photos you actually want

We start with the pictures you'll frame, not a generic shot list: the first look, your grandmother in the front row, the hacienda at golden hour, the dance floor at midnight. Then we plan the day around getting them.

02

Certainty, not hope

Before the wedding you get a written timeline, built with you and your planner. It shows where we'll be and when, the best light for portraits, a rain plan and the family photo list. Nothing important is left to chance.

03

No long wait

You know your delivery date in writing before you book. You also get a preview set to share right after the wedding, while everyone is still talking about it.

04

Almost no effort on the day

We run the family photos from your list and call people by name, in Spanish or English. Portraits get simple, relaxed direction, and we work quietly around the ceremony. You get to be a guest at your own wedding.

Weddings in Mérida, at the haciendas and on the coast

Mérida has some of the best wedding settings in Mexico: the churches and colonial streets of Centro, the mansions along Paseo de Montejo, the restored henequen haciendas around the city, and the beach in Progreso. Each one has its own light. Hacienda courtyards and stone walls turn golden late in the afternoon. Centro's facades glow at sunset. The coast is softest just before the sun goes down. We build your timeline around that light.

We're based in Mérida and photograph weddings anywhere in the state of Yucatán, including Valladolid and Izamal, as well as in Cancún and the Riviera Maya. Many couples who marry here have family flying in from abroad. We direct in Spanish and English, so everyone knows where to stand and nobody feels left out.

+

Wedding video

Our video team can film the same day under one plan: a highlight film, the ceremony and the speeches, without two crews getting in each other's way.

+

Aerial photos and video

Drone shots of the hacienda, the venue or the coast, where flying is allowed.

+

Day-after session

A relaxed session in a cenote, on the beach or in Centro, when you're no longer watching the clock.

The first step is free

Meet us before you decide

Book a free video call. We'll walk through your date, your venue and the photos that matter most to you. Then we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit. If we're not, we'll say so. Either way, you leave the call with a clearer plan for your wedding photos.

One thing to know: each date can only be booked once, and the dry season, from about November to April, is the busiest time for weddings in Yucatán. If you already have a date, ask early.

FAQ

Questions couples ask us

How far ahead should we book our wedding photographer?

As soon as you have a date and a venue. Each date can only be booked once, and the dry season from about November to April fills first. Booking early also gives us time to plan the timeline and scout your venue.

Do you photograph weddings outside Mérida?

Yes. We're based in Mérida and photograph weddings anywhere in the state of Yucatán, from Progreso and the coast to Valladolid, Izamal and the haciendas. We also work in Cancún and the Riviera Maya. Tell us the location when you book and we'll plan the day around it.

Do you speak English?

Yes. Our crew works in Spanish and English. We can direct the family photos in both languages and photograph ceremonies in either one.

How much does wedding photography cost?

It depends on the hours of coverage, the locations and the extras you choose, such as an engagement session, video or drone. We send a written quote after the free planning call, before you commit to anything.

How many photos will we get?

It depends on the length of the day and what happens in it. We give you a realistic range for your timeline before you book, and we deliver every good photo, not just a handful of favorites.

When will we get our photos?

You get your delivery date in writing before you book, plus a preview set to share right after the wedding.

What happens if it rains?

Rain is part of planning a wedding in Yucatán, especially in the wet season. Your timeline includes a rain plan with covered spots we've already checked. Storms often leave the best light of the day right after they pass.

Can you also film our wedding?

Yes. Our video team can film the same day under one plan, so photo and video work together instead of competing for the same spots.

Do you photograph civil weddings, small weddings and elopements?

Yes. From a civil ceremony with a few guests to a full hacienda wedding, we plan the coverage to fit the day.

Can we print our photos?

Yes. You get high-resolution files for printing and smaller files for sharing online.
